This girl has come a long way from the wilds of Texas where she was attacked by a porcupine. Jayla has recovered from that as well as gone through heartworm treatment. She is now ready to find her forever home. She is a Carolina dog mix (?) guessed to be about 2 years old. She will be a wonderful companion in the right home. She likes to share the couch and get belly rubs. She makes piggy grunting sounds when she is happy. It's so cute! She also likes to sleep with her human. It takes her a little more time to warm up to men than women. She would do best in a home without small children as she is not terribly comfortable with them. She likes to go on walks but needs some work on her leash skills. Jayla can be an escape artist. We are looking for a home with a secure 6 foot fence, preferably a privacy fence. At this time, we are looking for a home without other dogs. We know it will take a little patience with Jayla as she continues to build her social skills.
