Do you believe in love at first sight? Well I believe in love at first sniff. Being born blind robbed me of the opportunity to see my forever family but it did not take my spirit, or my striking good looks. Somehow pictures never do me justice. Imagine the petite roundness of a bulldog body with a big block pittie head. And don't forget the double merle coat. I'm a beauty, its okay, I know it! Everyone who meets me is amazed at how special of a dog I am, too. Some say I would make an amazing therapy dog because I am so relaxed, lovable, and gentle. I enjoy the little things in life like listening to the wind and feeling the sun on my skin. I love to spend hours outside napping and sniffing. If I’m not ready to go inside yet I like to scrunch down into a little ball then spin and bark. I also love being inside, the cold floors, nice smells, and my foster siblings are great. The cats don’t seem to care about me, which is fine. We can coexist! But that’s okay me and the ferret got a bromance going on! I have a dog foster brother too! But, we haven't really figured out how to play together. He likes to play chasing games, and I just can't do that because I can't see him and he is so fast. So we stick to the roommate life which is okay with me! It will take me a bit but I will learn my surroundings, and map out my house, like all other blind dogs, and then be able to navigate the house with ease. People always swear that blind dogs can see because of how well these use their intelligence and other senses to find their way around! I’ve been with my foster mom for almost 2 months and in that time I’ve learned how to go from my room to the water bowl to the back door and then to NARNIA! I’ve also learned that I like squeaky toys and do not like tug a war. I am crate trained though and don't mind just laying down and napping. I actually really enjoy napping. Give me outside time, a good bed to nap on, and some cuddling and I'll be your perfect companion. As for home life a single story home would be ideal. More than few steps can be dangerous for a blind dog. I would love to find my forever family. Could it be you? The adoption fee for Wonder Boy is $450. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team members.Adoption processAdoption Requirements• Primary adopter must be at least 21 years old• Must have a government issued ID• All household members need to be in agreement with the adoption• Have the time and resources required to properly care for your new pet• Fill out application and complete an interview with an Adoption Counselor• Make WISH personnel aware that the animal will be a gift• If required for the specific animal, allow a home for introduction to the home, all family members, and any furry friends living in your residence• Disclose to WISH if other animals in household are not spayed or neutered • Live within an hour drive of our foster homes Adoption Fees Fees: • Puppies under 1 year $400• Dogs over 1 year old $300• Senior dogs $100• Special needs--Variable Fees: • Kittens under 8 months of age $150 each or $250 for pair• Cats over 8 months $100• Cats 8 years and up $50• Special needs--Variable We have legally approved contracts for both dogs and cats.Shelter locationScheduled meeting with potential adopters and Wish management team.
